  • They can be used pure or diluted with water to obtain watercolor effects. Their rich texture is particularly suitable for multiple textile decoration techniques : brush, pipette, stamp, screen printing, stencil…
  • When used with Setacolor auxiliaries, other effects can be obtained by combining techniques.
  • For airbrush use, make a first mixture of 50% water / 50% Setacolor lightening medium (ref 391014) which will serve as a dilution base. Then make a second mixture with the chosen color, 50% Setacolor Opaque paint / 50% of the first mixture for airbrush application.
  • To set Setacolor colors, iron on the reverse side of the decorated fabric, insisting for 5 minutes and setting the iron temperature to "cotton" position without steam. It is also possible to place the piece of fabric in a domestic oven : after 5 minutes at 150°C, the colors are set. After setting, the colors are machine washable. Dry cleaning is not recommended.
FAQ

Can Setacolor Opaque layers be superimposed ?

If a Setacolor opaque color is applied over other Setacolor opaque colors, it does not adhere well and has limited wash resistance. In this case, to improve wash resistance, after setting between each layer of Setacolor Opaque, it is advisable to apply a final layer of Setacolor lightening medium on top and re-set. However, for very fine lines on an opaque color, the 7A Opaque marker is much more suitable, the color is better anchored in the fiber and the wash resistance is much better.
